Teaching position
Overview
This is a general posting for an Early Childhood Education teaching position, working with either Infants/Toddlers or Preschoolers, in collaboration with other co-teachers. As a school we value continuity of care, experiencing deepening relationships, and the opportunity to form a dynamic learning community. We are looking for teachers who are interested in full-time positions (30+ hours a week, Monday - Friday), or on-call substitute positions (as needed).
Responsibilities
Providing an engaging, and caring learning environment for children in our program; creating strong relationships based in respect and curiosity with children, their families and colleagues; development of curriculum in collaboration with colleagues and based on observations of children and their interests and needs; participation in staff meetings and in-service trainings, and consistent, clear communication with parents, coworkers, and children.
Qualifications
We are looking for applicants with experience with young children. Applicants should be aligned with a play-based, child centered philosophy of working with young children. Qualified applicants will be committed to ongoing professional growth and will have knowledge of the Reggio Emilia approach, emergent curriculum, and anti-bias curriculum.
Compensation & Benefits
Dependent on length of experience, level of education, and number of ECE units. Range is between $23-30 per hour. Employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for benefits: health insurance and dental insurance plan; $100 monthly HSA account; retirement plan with employer matching contribution; paid holidays, ten paid sick days annually, plus paid five additional vacation days annually after one year of employment; support for professional development including 8 in-service training days annually; $200 annual educational stipend; paid site visits to observe other schools; paid weekly preparation and meeting time; and inclusion in a vibrant empowered teaching staff.

On-Call Substitute position needed now
Interested applicants will have a nurturing, gentle, patient, and creative disposition. If you enjoy
working in a team teaching environment, have strong communication skills, are able to multitask and
remain responsive to children, this may be the place for you.
Responsibilities
Setting a warm and consistent tone in the school for children and families. Providing an engaging, responsive and caring learning environment for toddlers and preschoolers; creating strong relationships based in respect and curiosity with children, their families and colleagues; engaging in observation and documentation of children's growth and learning. Collaborative work with co-teachers in classroom design, curriculum development and materials exploration. Knowledge of and ability to implement developmentally appropriate and best practices. Ability to work at a child's level for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications
We are looking for applicants with 12+ ECE units (including 3 units of infant and toddler development course work) and at least one year teaching experience with toddlers. Applicants will be committed to ongoing professional growth and will have knowledge of or interest
in learning about the Reggio Emilia approach, anti-bias curriculum, social justice stance, the RIE philosophy and Magda Gerber approach. Applicants should be aligned with a play-based, child centered philosophy of working with young children.
